The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT Debut
Mercedes-Benz is making an appearance at Pebble Beach Automotive Week from August 17-20, 2023. The exquisite automaker will be debuting the brand new 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT, which ceased its previous production run in 2022. This vehicle has yet to be seen by the public, which has been exclusively developed by Mercedes-AMG.
Not much information has been released by Mercedes, other than that it has a “modified dimensional concept compared to its predecessor,” which was produced for model years 2015-2022. This leaves a lot of unanswered questions for automotive fans looking for something to feast their eyes upon. As of now, it seems like those questions may have to wait just one more week to be answered.
One could only expect a small production run, considering the low production figures for the previous AMG GT. Around 25,000 units of the 2015-2022 Mercedes-AMG GT were produced for worldwide markets, and only 5,637 of those were sold to the US market. The 2022 base trim models started at an MSRP of $93,500.
Surprises from Mercedes at Pebble Beach Automotive Week
The GT will certainly be the highlight of the show, but Mercedes will also be bringing a few other surprises to showcase as well. Mercedes will be presenting on their MANUFAKTUR customization program, which will allow customers to further customize their vehicles when ordering. To showcase this program, a Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance will be shown to highlight some of the customization options available to consumers.
Alongside this presentation, the Mercedes-AMG SL will be a second debut vehicle for the show, which could trace its roots all the way back to the infamous 300SL Gullwing of 1954. The SL is a vehicle that is held near and dear to the hearts of Mercedes fans, as it is one of the long-standing models that has seen decades of changes.
